United Beans is a family-owned specialty coffee company based in Scarborough, Ontario. We source specialty grade green coffee beans from growing regions across Ethiopia, Colombia, Brazil, El Salvador, Guatemala, Kenya, Costa Rica, Indonesia, and beyond, and roast them fresh in small batches at our facility in Scarborough. Every bag ships directly to your door across Canada.
We started United Beans because we believed that specialty coffee should not come with a premium price tag or require a visit to a specialty cafe to enjoy. By managing sourcing, roasting, and fulfillment ourselves, we keep quality high and prices reasonable for home brewers, cafes, restaurants, offices, and roasteries across the country.
Our mission
Our mission is to make specialty coffee accessible and affordable for everyone in Canada. Most coffee sold in grocery stores and chain cafes is commercial grade, blended for consistency at scale rather than for cup quality. We source specialty grade lots, roast them in small batches to preserve origin character, and sell them at prices that do not require a premium markup. Great coffee should be an everyday experience, not a special occasion.
Our vision
We want United Beans Coffee Company to be the most trusted specialty coffee company in Canada, known for quality, transparency, and consistency. As the Canadian specialty coffee market grows, we intend to grow with it: expanding our origin range, deepening relationships with producers, and building a wholesale supply network that serves cafes, roasteries, restaurants, and offices from coast to coast. As a proud Canadian company based in Ontario, everything we do reflects our commitment to quality, community, and ethical business.
What we stand for
We are committed to three things: quality, transparency, and freshness.
Quality
Specialty grade only. We do not stock commercial grade coffee regardless of price or volume.
Transparency
Origin, process, and roast information on every product. No fillers, no additives, no chemicals.
Freshness
Small batch roasting and fast fulfillment. Coffee is best within 7 to 21 days of roasting. We ship to match that window.
The United Beans family
United Beans is family-owned and operated. We are not a large corporation with automated fulfillment and anonymous sourcing. We are a small team that tastes every lot we bring in, roasts every batch ourselves, and handles every order with the care we would want as coffee drinkers.
That personal approach shapes everything from the coffees we select to the way we respond to customer feedback. When you buy from United Beans, you are buying from people who genuinely care about what ends up in your cup. We understand the difference between a specialty brew and a commercial blend because we drink both, and we choose specialty every time.
What we do

Our commitment
United Beans Coffee Company supports ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility at every stage of the supply chain. We choose producers who grow coffee without harmful chemicals, use processing methods that minimise water waste, and operate with the long-term health of their land in mind. Specialty grade certification is one measure of that commitment, but it is not the only one.
We believe great coffee creates connections. Between the farmers who grow it, the roasters who develop it, and the people who drink it every morning in Canada. That connection is what drives us to keep improving, keep sourcing better lots, and keep making specialty coffee available to more people across the country.
